The story by Nancy Donoval made me cry. It made me stop washing my dishes, lean over my kitchen counter, and wail. Thank you, Nancy, for your bravery and your openness and the raw and beautiful truth that you spoke. I too was raped in college. And “graped” (grey area raped) more times than I can count in adolescence. Now, in my 40s, I feel like I am sexually liberated and free from all of that. All of that is behind me. And then … someone speaks the truth, and I crumble. I am grateful for the help in remembering and in feeling the emotions which demand to be felt. Thank you. You are beautiful!

I really related to Amy Salloway’s story. Her description of how her mother was indifferent to her, and how she became convinced that she was not supposed to be born from her mother is exactly how I felt. And how she came to terms with her family is how I resolved my problem as well…
Thanks always for the wonderful podcasts!
