Dear Kevin, what a touching story about this family tradition. The only real memory of Christmas as a child was the year I woke up (still dark of course) and could see the silhouette of my “Slick chick” Stingray bike. As my eyes followed the shape of this glorious bike my freedom to neighborhoods beyond my eyes begging to follow its shape passed the tires to see my dad sleeping on the entry way floor under the foyer rug because my mom would allow him in any further into the house. (He ran off a few months earlier with his new girlfriend) every Xmas since has been a melancholy at best. You’re very blessed to have such memories and it’s refreshing to listen to someone who is aware of such blessings.I’m a big podcast listener and Risk is my favorite since the first time I listened in 2013.
