Laura, the title of your story said it all…my heart broke for you, your husband, both of the boys, even the social worker (a little).

I have to wonder if the comments made online to/about you would have been offered to your husband if this story had been presented from his perspective. Personally, I suspect not. There’s so little space for women – especially mothers – to have hard limits at the expense of others. Instead, we are expected to accommodate everyone else’s needs at our own expense – then become vilified when we reveal we’re only human after all.

Anyways…I wish you strength and healing. <3

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
