LISTENCara Lopez Lee is a winner of The Moth StorySLAM and appears in many storytelling shows, including Storytellers Project and Unheard L.A. She’s the author of the memoir They Only Eat Their Husbands (Bower House, 2014) and the novel Candlelight Bridge (FlowerSong, 2024). Her writing appears in the Los Angeles Times, Manifest-Station, and Slackjaw. Cara and her husband live in Ventura, California, where they’ve joined the world movement to rewild the land, turning their garden into a certified wildlife habitat full of birds, bees, and butterflies.
