I really enjoyed this episode of Risk. One thing we need to talk about is how shame gets passed down from generation to generation and sometimes we aren’t even aware of it before we ourselves pass it on to others – so, how can we be more mindful of it and break the cycle?
Yeah, and I felt like these three storytellers, from Vancouver BC, Portland and Seattle were each remarkable in very different ways. Funny, soulful and brave. Simon had the audience rolling with laughter at the climax. Tod was so layered and insightful. And Thao was riveting.
I wish I could of heard Tod’s story when I was a 16 yr old who wanted so desperately to believe. Amazing!!!! What an excellent story and I believe that somewhere out there a lady in a Dodgers hat is smiling.
