Aydrea Walden

Aydrea Walden is a Emmy-nominated writer, a performer, and—much to her own surprise—a new golfer. She also joined a cult by accident. (Twice). Aydrea created the Webby-nominated series Black Girl in a Big Dress and has written for shows on Netflix, VH1, Paramount+, Disney, and PBS. Aydrea got her start in animation production at Nickelodeon, Disney, and DreamWorks, and now helps run WIA’s mentorship program that serves hundreds of animation professionals annually. On weekends, she swing dances, prepares ballgowns for historical reenactments, and reminds herself that she really does not need a new iron.
