Brett Wean has worked for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention since 2016, where he is now the Senior Director of Writing and Entertainment Outreach. As part of his role, he creatively consults with the entertainment industry, helping to ensure that stories and messaging involving suicide follow research-based safety practices to avoid the risk of contagion, and encourage help-seeking.
