LISTENA military brat, Heidi grew up around the world before following her fascination with crime into criminal justice, inspired in part by Dana Scully of The X-Files. After college, she became a police officer in Northern Virginia, serving from 2000 to 2005, and was a first responder at the Pentagon on 9/11. She later worked as a missing child analyst for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children until 2021. Her storytelling career began with Kevin Allison’s Storytelling Course through The Story Studio. She appeared twice on RISK!, performed throughout NYC, and created, hosted, and produced the Unsolved Podcast from 2014–2021.
