LISTENRandall C Via, the host of the podcast Red Onion Randy, is currently serving 1,214 years for capital murder in Wallens Ridge State Prison, Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Before being transferred to Wallens Ridge in October 2022, Randall was incarcerated at Red Onion State Prison, in Pound, Virginia. At Red Onion he served thirteen years in solitary confinement, during which time he appeared in the HBO documentary, Solitary: Inside Red Onion.
