Synopsis

Christina came out of the closet to her mom, but it was difficult for her mom. Her mom was a fundamentalist Christian and saw homosexuality as wrong. But in therapy, Christina began to remember the one year that her mom was truly happy — the one year that her mom was really herself and living fully and without shame. It was the year that her mother had a relationship with another woman. Christina realizes that her mom hates Christina’s being gay, because her mom denied herself that part of her own personality for a religion that shamed her for it.
