Synopsis

Andrew’s first job was as a philosophy teacher of inner city kids at a technical college. He was extremely nervous, because he had always been the bullied, asthmatic nebbish in his school years. He decided he should create a new persona, that of “the cool professor,” which he bought three short sleeved shirts to represent. None of the students found Andrew cool at all. One day, he thought he could win them over with a field trip to a Philosophy Club that met at a local Whole Foods. Tensions between the elderly folks and the students broke out and Andrew lead them out of it. The next day at school, the students had clearly begun to respect him.
